Brake fluid
Brake fluid is used for transmission and distribution of the brake pedal to the wheels.
The most important task is to transmit the brake fluid braking force from the master cylinder actuator for each wheel brake mechanisms. Last but not least, the brake fluid deletes and protects against corrosion of the various hydraulics. Brake fluid is highly loaded part of the braking system, it is demanding, especially in the constant viscosity and high boiling point, to prevent steam bubbles.

How long brake fluid?
Brake fluid is aging, and one might say that it is subject to wear. Over time, decreases the boiling point, mainly due to increasing water content in brake fluids and also due to dirt. It is recommended that the control of brake fluids every year at the latest after two years. Car accurate measurement determined in accordance with the boiling point of your brake fluid and made possible by the exchange.
Includes brake fluid water?
Commonly used liquid labeled with DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 Glycollic basis, are hygroscopic. This means that the humidity of their surroundings taken. It penetrates into the system mainly due to leaks in the braking system hadičkách. The water content in brake fluids, therefore, increases over time, thereby decreasing its boiling point. Operation of the heating effect of certain parts of the braking system is the emergence of steam bubbles. Steam bubbles are, in contrast to the brake fluid compressible, and hence a similar effect as zavzdušněných brakes. Braking effect of decreasing, may be uneven and the brake pedal is to the floor. In extreme cases, may be to kick the floor with no braking. In addition, high water content leads to corrosion and reduces the viscosity.

It's worth the exchange of control and brake fluids?
Apart from when a security risk, which is the most important and depends on the proper functioning brake system. It is important to realize that today's cars are equipped with a wide range of electro-hydraulic systems, from the ABS through the brake system ESP assistants and ending. These devices are often susceptible to the quality of brake fluids, especially on its viscosity. Water not only causes more wear and corrosion of hydraulic parts, but also reduces the viscosity of brake fluid, which can result in failure of the system in critical situations. You also need to maintain the exchange of brake fluid on a professional service. Exchange brake fluids in today's vehicles requires not only expertise, but also a wide range of diagnostic tools and special tools.
